I also had to place hints next to each interaction with another character- just in case the reader hadn't met the character before. So, I had to vague about things like the time of day- since they may have taken that story path in the morning or afternoon. However, the book was also a challenge to write because I didn't know which choices the reader would take. It is by far the funnest (yeah yeah, I realize 'funnest' isn't a real word!) that I've ever written.

But, it's also basically a screwball comedy. I sold several signed copies of 'Shipwrecks of Coos County' and 'Paw Prints.' I also brought a few test copies of my latest project, 'Crossroads: A Quirky Choose Your Own Adventure.'Īs the title suggests, the novel is a choose your own adventure. I enjoyed visiting with both the readers and fellow authors at the event. Lots of people braved the stormy weather to come meet the approximately 70 west coast authors and 7 publishers. I'm happy to announce that the 3rd annual Florence Festival of Books was a big success. I'll also post updates on book signings and speaking engagements. I'll continue to post updates as I continue to work on and publish new writing projects. A portion of the sales of this book will be donation to Pacific Cove Humane Society. For variety, I invited three friends to contribute stories to the collection: Debbie Newman, Brenda Salzano, and Mindy Mallory-Newman. 'Paw Prints' is a fun collection of pet stories from both my childhood and adulthood. Since my first book was a serious one, I chose a fun follow-up project. The first book is a photographic history of shipwrecks on the southern Oregon coast over a 150 year period. To date, I've published two full length books: 'Shipwrecks of Coos County' (Arcadia, 2011) and 'Paw Prints: A Collection of Pet Stories' (Create Space, 2013).

So, I'll be spending the next few days updating my author profile. I recently joined the Good Reads Author Program.
